WP1 Project management

Introduction

is devoted to project management activities, including administration and financial coordination, technical coordination, use case integration and monitoring, risk control and all other necessary actions to ensure the project is executed properly on day to day and global level. This WP will also manage interaction with Public Authorities and KDT-JU on project progress. Additionally, monitoring of environmental impact of project activities will also be carried out as WP-1 activity.

These activities will be carried out by the project coordinator, ST GNB2 SAS, and by the WP and Task leaders, because of the number of companies / laboratories throughout Europe and above all to allow distribution and monitoring of management costs at the level of each organisation.

The WP is structured around 4 tasks:

- Task 1.1: Strategic Management

- Task 1.2: Day to day management

- Task 1.3: Technical coordination, use case integration and use case targets monitoring

- Task 1.4: Monitoring of project environmental impact

Note: Particular attention has been paid to avoid duplicating management tasks and associated costs.

Objectives

The objective of this WP is to ensure the project is conducted on time, according to the budget and correspond to the Description of Work and to the overall project objectives. This includes to:

- Prepare and have the necessary documents approved: legal, contractual, activity planning, and financial and ensure their proper application.

- Coordinate the technical activities of the project and ensure the definition of an appropriate exploitation plan for the project results.

- Communicate on project execution status and results with the KDT JU and all project s partners.

- Distribute the grant payments according to the KDT JU rules

- Solve conflict emerging from project execution and manage strategic orientation of the project.

- The Project Coordinator ensures that all the tasks that are devolved to the coordinator role are executed only by him, i.e.:

- monitor that the action is implemented properly

- act as the intermediary for all communications between the consortium and the granting authority, unless the Agreement or granting authority specifies otherwise, and in particular:

- submit the prefinancing guarantees to the granting authority (if any)

- request and review any documents or information required and verify their quality and completeness before

- passing them on to the granting authority

- submit the deliverables and reports to the granting authority

- inform the granting authority about the payments made to the other beneficiaries (report on the distribution of payments)

- distribute the payments received from the granting authority to the other beneficiaries without unjustified delay

The project management is understood on two levels

- Strategic management of the project

- day to-day management.
